What CITC does for these Cats & Kittens

CITC rescues cats and kittens from local animal control shelters and gathers up the strays roaming the streets.  Feral cats, those not used to human companionship, are captured using humane trapping techniques and are tamed over time.  All of our cats and kittens receive the following treatment while in our care:

bullet

Tested for Feline Leukemia Virus & Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (Feline AIDS)

bullet

Spayed or neutered

bullet

Rabies vaccine

bullet

Feline Panleukopenia Vaccine (Distemper)

Lots of love and affection

Litter boxes are scooped on a daily basis and food and water are always available along with an assortment of cat toys to play with.  The average cost for CITC to house and feed a cat or kitten is approximately $50.00 per month.

Adoptions

Adoptions are held each weekend at local area PetsMart stores and during the week by appointment.  Individuals interested in adopting a cat or  kitten from CITC are asked to fill out an adoption questionnaire.  Adoption fees do apply and are used to help offset the costs of caring for the cats and kittens.  These fees are non-refundable and we are only able to accept cash or checks at this time.  Also, if at any time, you decide you are unable to keep the cat or kitten you adopt, CITC will take it back, no questions asked.  None of our rescues will ever be homeless again.
