I've adopted two cats from you in the past year: Max (formerly Bartholomew) and Sam (formerly Buddy).  I just wanted to let you know that they've become such a big part of our family.  Our four year old daughter just loves them to pieces.  And on several occasions, I've caught my husband, who has never liked cats, holding and kissing them when he doesnt' think anyone is watching. Again, thank you so much for helping find  homes for these wonderful animals.  If we decide to adopt more, they will definitely be from your organization.

10/4/09 was a devastating day in my life but 10 days later through you, "Star" has brought me joy I couldn't imagine.  My "Ivory" was exquisite in very way.  But now I am smiling watching my little "Star", my new gift of love.  Thank you for shedding light into my life.   Anita  10/14/09

Thank you Anita for giving Star the best home any cat could want.

Didie is a great cat.  We have actually changed her name to Delilah.  Didie was the nickname of our kitty,Daisy, who passed away several weeks ago.  We wanted to change her name to something that sounded like Didie and to also keep the "D" name tradition going on.  She has made amazing progress since the last time I sent you an e-mail.  Rob, my husband, still has to coax her out from under the nightstand, her safe place, but she has been acting like a kitten all night. Once she gets out from under the nightstand, there is no stopping her.  She is playing with her feather toy, batting around toy mice and carrying them in her mouth, jumping on the bed and nightstand, walking on the window sill, looking out the window, and running around the room.  She is a wild child, but also the sweetest, most loving cat.

"I hope that all is well with you and yours.  We are absolutely crazy about our new babies.  Fifi (formerly Mercedes) is still a little shy, but is quickly coming out of her shell.  I think they were having more of an adjustment issue with each other than with us and their new home, but now they are playing well together.  Both she and Giselle (formerly Cecily) will now let me hold them like babies and rub their tummies for short periods of time before frolicking off to play.  Both are also eating well.   I'm just elated at how quickly Giselle and Fifi have made this their home, me their mommie, and Geoff their daddy.  We couldn't be happier!

Oh well! We now are very fortunate to be owned by Ray Anna, (re-named Emma). As you can see, by the beginning of this paragraph, she has made herself quite at home, so much so, that she thought that she would add to her own "Happy Tail" by using the computer. She complete's our happy family by rejoining her litter mate Domino. They were truly meant to be together and now they are. Like her brother's, she is very mellow and a huge purrer; (is there such a word?) Together, they are so much fun! She does not mind the dog's but can hold her own. What a wonderful fourth of July!

She and Thomas are getting long fairly well after their introduction.  There has been no fighting, but no playing or grooming either, though that should come with time.  They are able to eat next to each other and share a window ledge.  Emmylou (or Emmers, as I've taken to calling her sometimes) has been eating pretty well and is gradually getting more comfortable with the apartment.  A lizard came in today and she proved herself a valiant hunter.  She is a very brave girl in general and not afraid to stand up to Thomas when he tries to initiate play that she doesn't want (just a quick bat), though hopefully they'll play soon. She does enjoy playing with toys and loves to sit in a way to best set off her gorgeousness.  She is SO BEAUTIFUL.  I have decided that EmmyLou is the prettiest kitty in the world and Thomas is the cutest.  I think they approve. Emmers also sat in my lap and enjoyed some petting time today, which is a good step in our bonding (though she did get so happy with petting that she fell out...).

I wanted to drop you a little status report on one of your babies...

Bartholomew "adopted" my three year old daughter and I yesterday at Pet Smart.  I just wanted to let you know that he and Caitlin have been inseparable since the moment we came home!  She has introduced him to all of her stuffed animals and even showed him her soap and toothpaste (you know, in case he wants to wash up).  This morning she brushed him with her own hairbrush - afterwards I had to explain that we bought him his own brush so they wouldn't have to share.  He even slept in her room last night.  He's the sweetest cat I've ever met!  He is quite a loving addition to our family.  He follows Caitlin around the house and snuggles with her, to her sheer delight.

Thanks so much for everything you guys do and for finding good homes for these kitties. :-)
